‘IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack’ releasing on 29 August
Netflix’s upcoming web series ‘IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack‘, based on a true story, had its world premiere yesterday at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne at HOYTS. Produced by Matchbox Shots in association with Benaras Mediaworks and directed by Anubhav Sinha, the series will be released on the OTT platform Netflix on August 29.
According to media reports, during an interview about the series, Anubhav Sinha said, “Working on ‘IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack’ was a deep and successful plan. Through this series, we have tried to capture the essence of the historical event.
The entire team and I are proud of it.” Let us tell you that the first two episodes of the series ‘IC 814’ were screened at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne, which depicted the story of the events that happened in those seven days of the Kandahar Hijack.
