The gang head off to Charlotte, North Carolina, for a basketball game and cheerleading competition which Brooke is determined to win. When one of the cheerleaders gets sick, Peyton begs Haley to join the squad. Meanwhile, when Lucas and Nathan discover that they’ve been given the same hotel room, tempers flare., Tensions run high on a weekend trip to a basketball tournament when Lucas has to share a hotel room with Nathan and Brooke is forced to room with Peyton. Meanwhile, the cheerleading squad needs a temporary substitute and gets an unlikely replacement; Karen starts to patch things up with Keith.
