Amitabh Bachchan saw Kalki 2898 AD for the first time on the big screen on Sunday. He was accompanied by his son, Abhishek Bachchan, on his film appearance.

Actor Amitabh Bachchan, who has received widespread acclaim for his performance in Nag Ashwin‘s visual spectacle Kalki 2898 AD, saw the film for the first time on Sunday, June 30. He was joined by his son, Abhishek Bachchan, who was ‘fooling around’ with his father in the cinema theatre.

Amitabh Bachchan shared photos from his movie outing on his blog. In the photographs, he is seen seated with Abhishek Bachchan and a group of others in the movie theatre. Some photographs show Abhishek Bachchan making faces at his father while interacting with a small group of people in a cabin.

Big B said in his blog that he went to see a movie after a long time and was impressed to observe how things had changed around him. Abhishek Bachchan‘s reaction to the film was “mind blown”. He wrote on X: “#Kalki2898AD = (Mind blown emoji) Wow!” (sic).”
In Kalki 2898 AD, Amitabh played Ashwatthama, the eternal son of guru Dronacharya who wanders the earth in pursuit of the sole hope that can save both the world and himself: Lord Vishnu’s ‘Kalki’ avatar. The film also stars Prabhas, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, among others.
The 81-year-old actor’s performance was particularly well-received. Amitabh Bachchan‘s Ashwattama is one of the biggest strengths of Kalki 2898 AD. His screen presence and demeanour, combined with his strong baritone, convince us that he is the Ashwatthama. Kalki 2898 AD opened in theatres on June 27 and has already grossed more than Rs 500 crore.
