Sobhita Dhulipala dubbed Deepika Padukone in the Telugu version of Kalki 2898 AD

The post-apocalyptic film, Kalki 2898 AD directed by Nag Ashwin, earned ₹500 crore within four days of its global premiere.

Sobhita Dhulipala and Kalki 2898 AD have a far deeper connection than simply those brief appearances. Sobhita Dhulipala voiced Deepika Padukone’s character Sumathi in the Telugu version of the film, which was directed by Nag Ashwin. Sobhita Dhulipala is said to have dubbed Deepika’s words, which was proven when the director mentioned her in the opening credits.

The Made in Heaven star injected extra drama into the issue by posting a photo of the cue card that expressed gratitude. She captioned the photo “Sweetest” and tagged the Kalki 2898 AD team. The film marks Deepika’s debut in the Telugu cinema industry. She plays Sum-80, sometimes known as Sumathi, who gives birth to a miracle child. According to the Mahabharat, Sumathi carries Vishnu’s tenth avatar, Kalki, who would end the Kali Yug and usher in a new era. In the film, Kamal Haasan’s Supreme Yaskin intends to kill the kid, but Amitabh Bachchan’s Ashwatthama is tasked with protecting the unborn child.

Nag Ashwin directs the post-apocalyptic film, which is influenced by Hindu scriptures and takes place in 2898 AD. The film is a mix of the Hindu epic Mahabharata and science fiction. Vyjayanthi Movies produced the big-budget picture, which opened on Thursday in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi, and English.
