Ryan Reynolds remembers Ranveer Singh’s voiceover for him in the Hindi version of Deadpool 2.
Ranveer Singh is gaining affection from colleagues and fans all over the world. However, the actor is renowned not only in the Indian cinema business, but also in Hollywood. In a recent interview with Marvel India, Ryan Reynolds praised Ranveer Singh for his sense of humour and even compared his physique to that of Wolverine icon Hugh Jackman.
When asked which Bollywood actor he would like to collaborate with, Ryan Reynolds responded, “I don’t know. Oh…Ranveer Singh is wonderful. I believe he has voiced Deadpool. He’s pretty funny. “But also ripped.” Ryan Reynolds turned to Hugh Jackman and said, “You think you are in shape?” Hugh Jackman responded, “Really!”. Ryan said, “This person makes you look like a ‘Crypt-Keeper’. “He is amazing.”
Ranveer Singh dubbed Deadpool 2 in Hindi. While posting the Hindi trailer for the 2018 superhero action-thriller, the actor tweeted, “Amazing how effectively I’ve managed to out-crass my Canadian counterpart @VancityReynolds.” I never imagined how pleasant and wonderful the foul Hindi language could be!” Ryan Reynolds quote tweeted his article and responded, “Well, if I tried to curse in Hindi, I’m pretty sure there would be an international incident.”
Indian performers’ involvement with Marvel is not new. Previously, Varun Dhawan voiced Captain America in Captain America: Civil War, Tiger Shroff voiced Peter Parker in Spider-Man: Homecoming, and Rana Daggubati voiced Thanos in the Telugu version of Avengers: Infinity War.
Deadpool & Wolverine is the 34th film in Marvel’s Cinematic Universe (MCU). It is a sequel to Deadpool (2016) and Deadpool 2 (2018), as well as a spinoff from Logan (2017). The film is directed by Shawn Levy and stars Emma Corrin and Matthew Macfadyen in major roles. The film Deadpool & Wolverine will be released internationally on July 26.
