Sunny Deol : Thanks fans for turning the movie into a festival
Sunny Deol recently marked the first anniversary of Gadar 2, calling it a “revolution” in his life. Released on August 11, 2023, the film, which is set during the Indo-Pakistan War of 1971, was a sequel to the 2001 blockbuster Gadar: Ek Prem Katha.
Gadar 2 resonated with audiences, becoming one of the highest-grossing Hindi films of the year, earning over Rs 650 crore globally.
Deol took to Instagram to express his gratitude towards fans, praising them for turning the film’s release into a grand celebration and making theatres feel like carnivals. He emphasized that the overwhelming support from fans injected new life into the film’s team and contributed to its monumental success.
Ameesha Patel, who co-starred with Deol, also shared her thanks, calling the movie “Hindustan ki asli blockbuster.” Both stars celebrated the film’s impact, with Deol noting that the success of Gadar 2 will be unmatched for a long time.
