In the second-season opener, the girls question Sasha’s approach with the National Committee as selections are made for a meet in France. In addition, a newly determined Payson wants to reclaim her top ranking and be invited to compete in France., The girls, who’ve been nicknamed the “Rock Rebels” since beating the Chinese team, take part in a magazine photo shoot which embodies their new rock and roll look. Payson is still working on her comeback but Ellen turns up at the photo shoot with some chastening news; they’ve been suspended from competing. Is Ellen bluffing? Later, Kaylie visits Carter to ask for another chance with him. Will she get one?, After defying the National Committee by inviting and beating the Chinese gymnastic team our girls have been labeled the Rock Rebels.
