In this Italian comedy, a fellow heads for England to inherit his strange aunt’s fortune. Her old mansion is terribly run down but for 13 lovely chairs. In order to pay his way home, he sells these chairs. Unfortunately, he discovers a note explaining that one of those chairs is stuffed with her entire fortune. The man then runs to the gallery where he sold the seats and then must dash across Europe frantically searching for his fortune. He does find it, but its new owners are nuns attempting to raise money for an orphanage. This was the last film of murdered actress Sharon Tate; because of the publicity surrounding her death and her killers, members of Charles Manson’s cult, the film’s original title was changed from Thirteen to Twelve Plus One., About a madcap hunt for hidden treasure.
