Merchant of Death
Mel Profitt blackmails a foreign minister into making an arms deal with a Third World nation. Susan: Joan Severance. Lococco: William Russ. McPike: Jonathan Banks. Lifeguard: Jim Byrnes., Intending to foment a revolution in the Third World country for his own benefit, crime boss Mel Profitt (Kevin Spacey) blackmails a French Deputy Minister of Defense to finance an infamous rebel leader. Meanwhile, undercover agent Vinnie (Ken Wahl) falls deeper in love with Mel’s sister Susan (Joan Severance), and never mind that she has set up to get arrested. The closer Vinnie and Susan draw together, the more Mel begins to suspect that Vinnie isn’t really as dishonest as he pretends to be.
