Admittedly, they were half joking when they created an international RPS Society and announced they were staging a world championship competition in the game in 2002, but the thousands of people who showed up to compete and watch the action weren’t kidding. Graham and Doug suddenly found themselves receiving heavy media coverage, judging RPS contests in the U.S. and Canada and even negotiating for the television rights to the annual championship tournament.
