The Case of the Credulous Quarry
A shady lawyer and a witness demanding a payoff complicate Mason’s defense of an accused murderer. Mason: Raymond Burr. Hammond: John Conwell. Dorrell: Russell Arms. Clara: Katherine Squire. Claridge: Vinton Hayworth., Perry finds himself tied up in a perplexing case when he clears his client from a hit-and-run homicide, only to have him charged with first degree murder., Lawyer Richard Hammon (John Conwell) is accused of murdering his wife by running her down with his car. Taking Richard’s case is another attorney, Everett Dorrell (Russell Arms), who happens to be crooked. In the end, Perry Mason (Raymond Burr) must not only save Hammon from conviction but must also undo the damage caused by the “rotten apple” attorney. Filmed for Perry Mason’s third season, this episode was originally slated to air on March 26, 1960.
