Dr. Andrew Brown (Treat Williams–Prince of the City) led a comfortable existence in New York City with his family and his lucrative practice as a world-renowned neurosurgeon, until fate took his loving spouse from him and changed his life forever. After his wife’s death, Andy moves his young daughter and wayward teenage son to a small, out-of-the-way burg nestled deep in the Colorado mountains. It’s where old-fashioned healing counts more then surgical statistics … where folks are just as quirky as they please … where a grieving heart can breathe free and mend itself. And it’s the place where Andy can become the kind of doctor and father, his wife would have wanted him to be. It all happens in a town called Everwood., While giving flu shots to retirement-home residents, Andy becomes confessor to a man who can no longer keep a dark secret, which happens to involve Dr Abbott’s father. Elsewhere, Ephram insults Laynie; Matt and Andy butt heads; and Delia comes down with the flu., Dr Abbott is stunned when his godfather tells him that he and his dad were involved in a murder 30 years ago and enlists Dr Brown’s help to clear the men’s reputations. Meanwhile, Ephram’s mind is not on his new sweetheart Laynie., While giving flu shots to retirement-home residents, Andy becomes confessor to a man (Luke Askew) who can no longer keep a dark secret, which happens to involve Dr. Abbott’s father.
