Fish at the Bat
Bob joins the office softball team after a lot of persuasion., It’s time for the annual doctors’ softball tournament, and there’s no room for failure: The last dental clinic’s team to come in last place had their offices closed down. “You don’t mess with Dr. Yosselheifer,” a co-worker warns, alluding to the president of the Council of Canadian Dentists. When another dentist mistakes Bob for a cricket champion, Bob’s protests melt when he realizes how much he wants to be the hero they think he’ll be. Margaret talks sense into Bob, and he decides to come clean the following day — until Dr. Yosselheifer personally comes down to thank Bob for his help in beating their archrivals, the Head Shrinkers (the psychiatrists’ team). Bob is then forced to seek the help of his sports-fanatic neighbor, Trevor, and his wife, Joyce. (Originally aired July 4, 2001.)
