The gang reflects on bad Thanksgivings—and the biggest turkey belongs to Monica, who recalls her first encounter with Chandler., As the gang digests Monica’s huge Thanksgiving meal, everyone reminisces about his or her worst Thanksgiving ever., Returning to the concept of “The One With the Prom Video,” the viewer is again treated to the cast’s period flashbacks. After Thanksgiving dinner, the group sits around and tells stories of their worst Thanksgivings ever. Standing out are the scenes in which — circa 1987 — Chandler (Matthew Perry), in Miami Vice-style clothes and a Flock of Seagulls hairdo, hurts an overweight Monica’s (Courteney Cox) feelings — and loses his toe to a dropped knife in the process. Monica also has a conversation with Rachel (Jennifer Aniston) during the same flashback, in which she repeatedly calls her virginity her “flower.” Rachel advises, “OK, Monica, can you just call it sex? It really creeps me out when you call it that. OK, and by the way, while we’re at it, a guy’s thing is not called, ‘his tenderness.’ Believe me!” In other flashbacks, Chandler learns about his parents’ divorce, Phoebe (Lisa Kudrow) loses her arm — twice — in past lives, and Joey gets his head stuck in a turkey.
