The movie has been inspired by the essay ‘The Great Tangshan Earthquake’ by Zhang Ling. It is about a lady Jui who when faced with a painful decision of saving one of her children during a catastrophe choses her son Ratan over her daughter Shiuli. She resigns herself to the thought of living with memories of Shiuli who she thinks is dead. But fate willed otherwise; Shiuli is alive!
