It’s 1941 and Canadian men are at war, leaving wives, daughters and sweethearts to replace them in the bomb factories. Rich young socialite Gladys Witham yearns to do her part, joining Victory Munitions’ secretarial pool. Gladys soon meets the gals of Blue Shift including Betty, a tough farmgirl, newbie Kate who’s running from a violent past, and glamorous Vera.
