Jane and the Truth Snake
Jane’s career as a radio traffic reporter is jeopardised when she receives some unexpected criticism. Meanwhile, Patrick dumps his latest girlfriend., When Jane (Gina Bellman), in her role as a radio weather girl, gets fired for instructing London’s drivers to close their eyes and meditate, she grows despondent. But a strange new character helps her out of her funk: a pink hand puppet in the shape of a snake, through whom Jane is able to speak her mind wholly and unabashedly. As Jane, via the puppet, manages to insult most of her friends — and Jeremy (Shaughan Seymour), her former boss — she decides to launch a career as a children’s entertainer. Unfortunately, the puppet’s inability to tell anything but the truth puts a damper on her showbiz aspirations. Meanwhile, Patrick (Ben Miles) attempts to arrange a threesome with his latest girlfriend, Lynda (Susan Earl), but he doesn’t get the kind of liaison he was expecting.
