The Love Affair
Solo, following a hunch that THRUSH is developing a nuclear spaceship, finds himself at a revival meeting led by one Brother Love (Eddie Albert). Solo: Robert Vaughn. Pearl: Maggie Pierce. Hradny: Robert H. Harris. Magda: Tracey Roberts. Illya: David McCallum., Eddie Albert guest stars as Brother Love, a famous evangelist who uses his religious operation to camouflage his activities as a THRUSH leader. Kidnapping scientist Dr. Hradny (Robert H. Harris), Brother Love intends to rule the world with a nuclear space weapon. Solo must not only rescue Hradny, but also a hapless post-grad college student named Pearl Rolfe (Maggie Pierce). The last-named character was undoubtedly an inside joke, referring to series producer Sam Rolfe. Written by Albert Aley, “The Love Affair” first aired on March 29, 1965.
