The story of Kill movie is based on the fight and bloodshed during a robbery in a train. The lead stars were newcomers like Lakshya, Tanya Maniktala and Raghav Juyal. Karan told that he initially wanted to cast big stars for Kill which was made on a low budget, but he was shocked to know their fees.
In a roundtable session with The Hollywood Reporter India, Karan Johar expressed his anger on stars who demand high fees. When Karan Johar was asked about the low opening of films of stars like Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgan, he said, “Everyone should look at the compensation level.” On this, Zoya Akhtar reprimanded him and said that he will have to stop paying high fees to the stars.
