The much-awaited teaser of Tollywood actor Varun Tej‘s ‘Matka’ was released today, October 5. Directed by Karuna Kumar, the film will see Varun Tej in a completely different avatar. Apart from Varun Tej, the period drama also stars Nora Fatehi and Meenakshi Chowdhary in lead roles.
The two-minute-long teaser begins with actor Sai Kumar, who plays a jailor in the film. He asks Varun‘s character Vasu to ensure that he joins the elite to control 90 percent of the world’s wealth. He encourages Vasu to give up a life of struggle. Driven by ambition and an understanding of human greed, Vasu sets out to achieve success.
The teaser shows how Vasu grows in power and eventually becomes the biggest gangster in the city. Apart from Varun Tej’s character, the teaser also introduces the audience to the characters of the film’s lead actresses Nora Fatehi and Meenakshi Chaudhary.
Produced by Vayra Entertainments and SRT Entertainments, ‘Matka’ will release in theatres on November 14 in Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, Tamil and Malayalam.
