Was interested in cricket
Before becoming an actor, Aparshakti Khurana dreamed of becoming a star cricketer in the Indian team. As a young boy in Chandigarh, he devoted all his time and energy to the sport. In a recent interview, Aparshakti spoke about an incident from his cricketing days and said that he could not succeed as a player because he once disrespected his coach.
Speaking to Shubhankar Mishra on his YouTube channel, Aparshakti said that he started feeling insecure about his captaincy when his coach recruited some senior players for the team. Aparshakti tried to make a plan where the coach of the other team would object to him lending his players. The next day when Aparshakti came for practice, he was made to sit on the bench. He said, “I was very naive to think that the coaches of both the teams would be friends of each other.”
Disrespected the coach
While Aparshakti was sitting on the sidelines, his father suddenly arrived. The actor further said, “As fate would have it, my father came to the academy that day during my morning run. My father saw that I was not playing and he asked the coach the reason for it, and the coach told him what I had done,” he recalled, adding, “You won’t believe that he hit me with the bat for a kilometre from the academy to our house.”
