Munawar Faruqui: Munawar did not have money for his son’s treatment
‘Bigg Boss 17’ fame and stand-up comedian Munawar Faruqui recently shared an emotional story of his son’s fight against ‘Kawasaki’ disease. Munawar told that his son was just one and a half years old when he was diagnosed with this disease. Recalling his difficult time, the comedian shared that he did not have money for his son’s treatment. His son needed an injection, which cost Rs 25 thousand and he had only Rs 700 in his pocket.
He got treatment by taking loan
Munawar told during a conversation on Janice Sequeira’s YouTube channel that he was shocked for a long time after knowing this. Describing that moment, he said, “I was completely shocked and it was a really tough moment for me.” Due to no other way, he had to take money from others. He said, “I had to give up my pride and ask for help, which was really difficult for me.” Munawar collected the money and returned it within three hours, but this experience made him humble.
Arranged money in three hours
Munawwar further told how he collected money in that difficult time. He said, “I went to Mumbai Central, collected the money and came back within three hours. Although I was relieved, I could not smile, because it was not my money.” The comedian said, “After that day, I decided that I would never be financially short again.”
