The story of the greatest king of the jungle, Mufasa, is now ready to reach the audience in Telugu as well. After the success of ‘The Lion King’ in 2019, now ‘Mufasa: The Lion King’ is going to be released on 20 December 2024. Mahesh Babu has become the voice of Mufasa in the Telugu dubbed version of this film. While Brahmanandam- Pumbaa, Ali- Timon, Satyadev- Taka and Ayyappa P Sharma have given voice to Keeros.
Why did Mahesh Babu work in ‘Mufasa’
Sharing his experiences, Mahesh Babu said, “Mufasa is a character that I have always idolised. It is literally a dream come true for me. I find a lot of similarities in the love and responsibility he shows to his family. I am very excited that people will see me in this role.” He further added, “I think Mufasa is a favourite character of every generation. Watching the film with families will be a very satisfying experience. It is a great honour for me.”

In ‘Mufasa: The Lion King’, the audience will not only be introduced to new characters, but the film also makes great use of photoreal computer-generated imagery. The film is directed by Barry Jenkins. The film will be released in Indian theaters in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu languages.
