Inn Galiyon Mein: High Court Gave these instructions
The Bombay High Court recently appeared angry with the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) over the Hindi film ‘Inn Galiyon Mein’. The court reprimanded the CBFC for the questions raised on the dialogues of the film. The court said that it is wrong to raise objections without watching the film. The court directed that the CBFC should first watch the film in its entirety and then take a decision.
The court reprimanded
The matter came to light when the film’s producer Vinod Kumar filed a petition against the CBFC’s decision to stop the film’s censor certificate. The CBFC had objected to a particular dialogue of the film, ‘Jeetenge toh rum chalega, haarenge toh bam chalega’. The court expressed deep objection to this.
High Court gave these instructions
A single bench of the High Court directed the CBFC to watch the film and take a decision within two weeks and issue a censor certificate to the film. The CBFC has objected to 13 dialogues of this film. However, the makers of the film are ready to remove only five of these dialogues. The makers say that removing the main dialogue of the film will kill its soul.
