Meanwhile, 30-year-old attacker Mohammad Shahzad alias Vijay Das Bangladeshi citizen told about his reasons for entering Saif Ali Khan‘s house. The thief told that he tried to rob the Bollywood actor due to his financial crisis. He needed money for his mother’s treatment and lost his housekeeping job in December last year, which left him in a financial crisis.

Adopted the path of theft due to poverty


Mohammad Shahzad targeted Saif Ali Khan‘s house due to extreme poverty, so that he could steal from a rich person’s house. It was also told that after committing the crime, he was trying to escape to Bangladesh. The officer said that the reason for the crime was that Shahzad lost his housekeeping job at a restaurant in Thane on December 15, when his contract with the manpower agency ended, due to which he almost went bankrupt.

Attacked Saif with a knife to escape


Earlier, he used to work in a restaurant in Worli, where he used to get Rs 13,000 per month, out of which he used to send Rs 12,000 to Bangladesh for his mother’s treatment. During interrogation, Shehzad confessed that he stabbed Saif Ali Khan multiple times in the back to escape from his clutches. After the attack, he fled from Khan‘s Bandra flat and hid in the building’s garden for about two hours.
