The story of the series revolves around a teenage girl named Mia. Mia is a 16 year old student. She returned home from a stay at a rehabilitation centre for her eating disorder. She had stayed there for a couple of months to overcome her eating habits.
She is now entering sixth grade at the fictional Westmere school. She realises that her closest friends have almost forgotten about her. And they are happy with their new group of friends. Mia feels left alone after this.
To get over her lost time, Mia creates a bucket list for herself to do things that she has ever wanted to do. She includes the intoxicating world of dating, partying, and growing up alongside her three best friendz one popular frenemy and a major new crush, in her list. Mia realises that even with the most carefully constructed bucket list, there’s only so much she can do to plan the future.
Actors Sophie Wilde, Lauryn Ajufo, Stephen Fry, and Vivienne Acheampong are playing key roles in the series, along with various other actors in supporting roles.
The series is co-directed by Dionne Edwards, Charlie Manton, Laura Steinel, and Alyssa McClelland.
The series is co-produced by Andy Brunskill and Huberta von Liel under the production banner of Left Bank Company.
The series is releasing on October 5, 2023, on Netflix.
