The Whims of a River

In this historical drama, set in 1787 France, a country is on the verge of a revolution. After killing the King’s close friend, Jean-Francois de la Plaine is exiled from the royal kingdom, and is forced to leave his wife Louise behind. Banished to the African coast to govern a colony, Plaine is faced with the horrors of slavery, forced to confront his identity in a changing world.
