History Rediscovered: Battle of Russia

The fifth film in Frank Capra’s acclaimed “Why We Fight” WWII propaganda series, “Battle of Russia” portrays the bitter fighting on the Eastern Front 1941-1943 – some of the bloodiest battles in the European war. The film also looks back at Russia’s historic resistance to invasion and suggests that Russian tenacity and determination will inevitably lead to victory against the Nazi Wehrmacht.
