The ‘Scoop‘ web series is based on Journalist Jigna Vora. People in other states of the country and abroad know very little about Mumbai’s famous journalist Jigna Vora. Jigna Vora is the journalist who was arrested to divert people’s attention from the case following the uproar following the murder of another journalist.

The web series ‘Scoop’ directed by Hansal Mehta is the story of being targeted by Mumbai Police and then spending about nine months in Byculla jail. Jigna Vora had also exposed the encounter saga of Pradeep Sharma, once the hero of Mumbai Police.

And the series may not understand the need to tell this important link in its script, but when the series ends, it definitely puts Jigna Vora among those who have been vocal opponents of the government and power.

The names and photographs of these people are also seen in the end credits of the last episode of the series. The series shows that incidents of harassment of journalists have increased rapidly in India in the last two decades.

Karishma Tanna and Zeeshan Ayub have done the best work in terms of actors in the series. A woman journalist being a crime reporter is no less than a mystery in itself.
