The story of the series revolves around Aarya Sareen. She is a wife of a businessman. They have three children. She is unaware that her husband is part of an illegal business of drugs. Her life is full of happiness. Everything takes a turn when her husband, Tej Sareen, is mysteriously murdered. The illegal drug syndicates and mafia now want to kill her family too. To protect her family, Aarya joins a mafia gang. She emerges as a mafia queen. Aaryan seeks revenge from everyone who was involved in the murder of her husband.

Sushmita Sen is playing the lead role of Aarya Sareen in the series. Aarya is the daughter of Udayveer and Rajeshwari. Sangram and Saundarya are her half-sisters. Aarya is the widow of Tej. She is mother of Veer, Arundhati, and Aditya. Sushmita Sen has recently portrayed transgender activist Shreegauri Sawant in the miniseries Taali. She has gained huge appreciation for the role she played.
Chandrachur Singh has played the role of Tej Sareen in the series. He is playing the role of husband to Aarya. And father of Veer, Arundhati, and Aditya’s father. Chandrachur Singh is an Indian actor. He is famous for his roles in movies like Maachis, Daag: The Fire, Josh, Aamdani Atthani Kharcha Rupaiyaa, and Chaar Din Ki Chandni.
The series is inspired by the Spanish drama series Penoza, created by Pieter Bart Korthuis.
