Akshay Kumar’s film “Sarfira,” directed by Sudha Kongara, opened with a modest Rs 2.5 crore
Akshay Kumar has finally addressed his recent string of box office failures following the flop of his latest release, “Sarfira.” Despite initial buzz and an intriguing storyline adapted from G. R. Gopinath’s memoir, the film has struggled significantly at the box office.
“Sarfira,” directed by Sudha Kongara, opened with a modest Rs 2.5 crore and managed to accumulate only Rs 13.4 crore by its first Monday, indicating a severe drop in audience turnout.
This marks Akshay Kumar‘s eighth consecutive underperforming film since 2022, following other box office disappointments like “Bade Miyan Chote Miyan” and “Selfiee.” Akshay acknowledged the impact of these failures, stating, “It hurts and impacts you, but you have to keep moving forward and trying your best.”
Despite these setbacks, he remains optimistic about his upcoming projects, hoping to reconnect with his audience and deliver the success they expect from him.
