Bollywood Star Alia Bhatt Expands Ed-a-Mamma Brand into Children’s Literature, Promotes Love for Nature

Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt has ventured into the world of children’s literature with the release of her first picture book, “The Adventures of Ed-a-Mamma: Ed Finds A Home.” The book, launched under her children’s clothing brand Ed-a-Mamma, marks the beginning of a new series aimed at young readers. This new endeavor is a collaboration with Puffin, an imprint of Penguin Random House India.

Alia shared her excitement about this project, highlighting her childhood filled with stories and storytellers as a significant influence. She expressed her desire to instill a love for nature in children through her storytelling. The book, set to be released on June 16 at the StoryVerse literature festival in Mumbai, is designed to inspire young minds and foster an appreciation for the environment.

Ed-a-Mamma, founded by Alia in 2020, has grown from a children’s wear brand to include teens’ and maternity wear. Last year, Reliance Brands acquired the company for an estimated ₹300-350 crore, showcasing its significant market impact. With this new book series, Alia continues to expand her entrepreneurial portfolio.

Alia also shared a playful teaser on Instagram, featuring animated characters and a promise of new adventures, inviting her followers to join the launch event. This book is part of her broader efforts to merge creativity with meaningful content, aimed at nurturing the next generation.
