Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has officially returned to host the 16th season of the renowned quiz program Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC). Big B, known for his informative and amusing hosting, returns as a pleasant and highly awaited moment for the show’s dedicated audience.
Amitabh Bachchan has been affiliated with the show for 24 years, and according to estimates, he was paid about Rs 25 lakh per episode during the show’s debut season (2000). As Kaun Banega Crorepati developed, Bachchan’s fame grew, resulting in an increase in his fees. By the fourth season, his pay had increased to Rs 50 lakh each episode, more than double his previous rates.
By the sixth season, his fees had reportedly risen to between Rs 1.5 crore and Rs 2 crore per episode. According to Moneycontrol, in the ninth season, his fees rose to Rs 2 crore every episode. By the ninth season, it had escalated to Rs 2.6 crore each episode, and by the tenth season, he was charging Rs 3 crore. While Big B charged Rs 3.5 crore per episode from seasons 11 to 13, he earned Rs 4-5 crore per episode by the 14th season of the quiz program.
