The latest biopic by Imtiaz Ali, “Chamkila,” explores the life of Amar Singh Chamkila and has been wildly successful. Since its premiere, the film, which stars Parineeti Chopra as Amarjot and Diljit Dosanjh as the legendary vocalist Chamkila, has been gaining praise. Social media is exploding with love for the duo’s amazing performances and compelling rendition of the iconic Punjabi artist.
Amul, which is well-known for its imaginative drawings, just posted a charming homage on Instagram and Twitter, further to the festivities. The doodle shows Parineeti’s Amarjot in a sophisticated floral suit and Diljit’s Chamkila in a bright blue kurta pajama, both of them carrying butter toasts as they perform on stage.
“Ek chammach khila (feed it to me with a spoon)” is the caption, which includes a lighthearted feel to the drawing. Amul summarised Chamkila’s lasting influence when they referred to him as “Punjab da buttar.” Amul‘s creative acknowledgment of the movie strengthens its cultural influence and appeals to viewers of all ages.
