Kangana Ranaut, a former actor turned politician, defeated Congressman Vikramaditya Singh in the Mandi constituency. The actor Anupam Kher congratulated the star on social media, referring to her as a “Rockstar.”

Kangana Ranaut made her electoral debut by winning by a margin of 74,755 votes from the Mandi Lok Sabha seat in Himachal Pradesh, according to the Election Commission of India. She faced off against Vikramaditya Singh of the Congress, the son of former chief minister of Himachal Pradesh, Virbhadra Singh.
Kangana and Anupam Kher will be seen together in upcoming movie Emergency. Kangana plays Indira Gandhi. It was written by Ritesh Shah, who also wrote the script for Kangana’s poorly received movie Dhaakad. In addition to Kangana and Anupam Kher, the film features important roles for actors Milind Soman, Mahima Chaudhry, Satish Kaushik, and Shreyas Talpade. The movie’s release date is still up in the air.
