Director Ajay Bhupathi Slams Arshad Warsi For Calling Prabhas ‘Joker’ In Kalki 2898 AD

In a recent interview, Arshad Warsi gave a harsh critique of Kalki 2898 AD, which stars Prabhas and Deepika Padukone.

Arshad Warsi recently spoke about Kalki 2898 AD and admitted that he did not enjoy the film. While Warsi appreciated Amitabh Bachchan‘s outstanding performance in the film, Arshad Warsi felt Prabhas acted like a ‘joker’ in it. In response, director Ajay Bhupathi strongly opposed Warsi’s comments on Prabhas.

On his X, Ajay posted: “#Prabhas is the man who has given everything & will do anything to take Indian Cinema to the world audience, a Pride of our nation.”

“We can see the jealousy on that film, on him in your eyes, simply because you’ve faded out and no one pays attention to you. There is a limit and a manner to voice our opinions…” He concluded, “It appears that you are the one who has said this about him.”

In a new podcast interview with Samdish Bhatia, Arshad Warsi stated, “Prabhas, I am very unhappy. Why was he there? He was like a joker. Why? I want to see Mad Max. I hope to see Mel Gibson over there. Tumne usko kya bana hai yaar. “What have you made of it?” Why do they do these things? “I never understand).”

Nag Ashwin directed Kalki 2898 AD. Prabhas, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan and Disha Patani were among the film’s cast members. Kalki 2898 AD became India’s fourth highest-grossing film of all time, as well as the highest-grossing Indian film in 2024.
