A few days ago, Bengali actress Shreelekha Mishra had accused Ranjith of sexual harassment. Now a man from Kozhikode has accused Ranjith of sexual abuse. The man says that in 2012, Ranjith had misbehaved with him in a five star hotel.
In an interview given to Asianet News, the person making the allegations has narrated his ordeal. The person told that he met Ranjith during the shooting of Mammootty starrer film Bavuttiyude Namathil in Kozhikode. He went to the set to watch the shooting and got a chance to meet Ranjith. She expressed her interest in acting and seeing this, Ranjith wrote his phone number on a tissue paper and gave it to her.
Called to the hotel at night :
Ranjith asked the man to send him a text message instead of calling him. The man claimed that when he messaged the filmmaker, he asked him to come to Bengaluru. The man reached Taj Hotel in Bengaluru after two days. He reached the hotel at 10 o’clock. The receptionist refused to introduce her to Ranjith, as the hotel was out of visitor hours. After talking to Ranjith, the person reached his room from the back door.
Ranjith demanded the man to take off his clothes :
The person making the complaint claims that as soon as he reached Ranjith‘s room, the filmmaker was drinking alcohol. They offered liquor to the man and first he refused and then drank liquor with Ranjith. The man has alleged that after drinking, Ranjith asked him to take off his clothes. Ranjith told the man that he wanted to see how he looked without clothes. Not only this, Ranjith also asked her to apply kajal on her eyes.
Ranjith took nude photos of the person :
According to Times of India, the man has also accused Ranjith of taking his nude photos. The man says that the filmmaker took his nude photos and said that he wanted to show them to his girlfriend who is an actress by profession and is staying in the same hotel. After this incident Ranjith started ignoring her. He says that the MeToo movement and the Hema Committee report gave him the courage to speak.
