The series is set during the 19th century. And the story of the series is based on a novel named Belgravia writtby Julian Fellowers.

The series and the novel, both cast light on the unpleasant events happend in an affluent district of London which has affected the lives of many people.

The series follows the incidences happened in an affluent district of London known as Belgravia.

The story begins in the year 1815. There is grand ball at the Duchess of Richmond. The ball was held in Brussels in the honor of Duke of Wellington. It was held on the eve of the Battles of Quatre Bras. And it happens to be just two days before the Battle of Waterloo.

There were many rich and elite guest invited to the grand ball. James and Anne Trenchards were also invited to the ball. The family has recently gained fame by earing incredible profit in their new found business.

James and Anne have a beautiful daughter named Sophia. She also went to ball with her parents. The Trenchards are in the talks of town and gained attention at the ball.

Edmund Bellasis belongs to the rich and prominent family of Belgravia. And is the only heir of the family wealth and legacy. He meets Sophia for the first time at the ball. Edmund Bellasis get his eyes on Sophia.

But some unexpected events takes place right after the ball and changes the future of all the residents of the Belgravia. The after effects of the destructive events leads to the redevelopment of the affluent district.

Twenty Six years later the events, two families are still living in the newly developed place. But the events of the ball and the secret happenings still causing conflicts between them. What happened at the night of ball?
