Hema Considers Herself As Gopi : Actress-turned-politician Hema Malini, who is contesting the Lok Sabha elections (2024) as a BJP candidate from Mathura for the third time, said on Wednesday that she considers herself the “Gopi” of Lord Krishna.

The Mathura MP (Hema) told reporters, “I joined politics neither for name nor for fame. I did not join politics for any material gain.” Describing herself as Krishna’s Gopi, Hema Malini said that since Lord Krishna loves the people of Brij, Therefore, she felt that if she worked in the service of all those people, they would shower their blessings on her too.

She said, “And I am serving the people of Brij.” He expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP President JP Nadda for giving him the opportunity to serve the people of Brij for the third time from Mathura. He said that the development of the dilapidated ‘Braj 84 Kos Parikrama’ would be his first priority.
