Brinda: The mystery thriller series is directed and written by Surya Manoj Vangala.
Brinda is a crime thriller series in which Trisha Krishnan will make her OTT debut. The film will be released on OTT in August 2024 in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, and Bengali languages.
The upcoming series will be available digitally on SonyLIV beginning August 1, 2024. The streaming site posted the trailer on X with the phrase, “Brace yourselves, thriller fans.” Trisha is making her OTT debut in a thrilling new series. The series is set in Andhra Pradesh and follows Brinda, a female police inspector who decides to investigate a bizarre crime that has remained unsolved for nine years. She realises that many have died, and the murdering has continued till now. The trailer begins with female police inspector’s nightmare in which she witnesses a masked guy tell a girl that ‘this is not the sacrifice you asked for; instead, it is what you can provide’ before slitting her throat with a knife. female police inspector awakens in the middle of the night and finds herself secure. Is there a connection between female police inspector’s childhood and the mystery case?
Trisha Krishnan stars as Brinda, and the ensemble also features Rakendu Mouli, Jaya Prakash, Aaman, Ravindra Vijay, and Anand Sami. It was written and directed by Surya Manoj Vangala. Kolla Ashish produced the film under Adding Advertising LLP, and Dinesh K Babu did the cinematography. Anwar Ali edited the crime series.
