Deemed by her husband and her social circle as a very good cook, Tanvi, like many other Indian women, is suppressed by the norms of the society in order to become a good wife (who can handle all her household activities very well) and at the same time, who wants to rise in her career and make a mark.

As per Tanvi’s husband, what she does well in her job is a good ‘affidavit’; but her fate and career takes a turn when she takes the case of Rinku Kumari, played by Anushka Kaushik, who thinks thathe is capable of achieving first class in her college examination results, instead of failing. Matter becomes serious, when Tanvi, played by Raveena Tandon, discovers a huge underlying scam and power politics that governs the current day education system.

There was a time when women like Gargi, Lopamudra, Maitreya, Apala were proudly held high in the society during Vedic ages. But with British Colonialism, and Mughal invasion, the Indian societal structure went for a a toss, and the place of the women was completely degraded. Its high time, with the changing global scenario, the position of women should be restored specially.
