“Challengers” is a sport fiction about a face-off in sports and emotions
Challengers is an American romantic sports movie where Tashi Duncan, a former tennis player turned into coach, transforms her husband from a mediocre player into a Grand-Slam Champion. The real challenge begins when Tashi’s husband faces off with his former best-friend, who once used to be Tashi’s boyfriend.
Produced by Zendaya herself along with Rachel O’Connor, Luca Guadagnino and Amy Pascal, this movie has been directed by Luca and written by Justin Kuritzkes. The movie has been rated ‘R’ for language usage, sexual content and nudity.
The movie features Zendaya as Tashi Duncan, Josh O’Connor as Patrick, Mike Faist as Art Donaldson and Jake Jensen among many others. Along with the free flowing storyline, the movie also takes us on the evolutional journey of characters. The movie is releasing on United States on 26th April.
To prepare for the role of Tashi Duncan, Zendaya went on an exclusive three months training under tennis player turned coach, Brad Gilbert. It had also been heard that Gilbert had been a consultant for this film. After King Richard (2021), we will have to wait and watch if Challengers will be enticing to the audience or not.
