The movie is about an assistant basketball coach named Marcus Marakovich. An incident leads Marcus to lose his job. But the judge gives him a choice. Either to serve the prison or to do community service by being the coach of a team that has players with learning disabilities.
Marcus struggles to coach the new team. He tries to develop bonds with team members so that he can understand them better. And after much effort, he realises that these players are more capable.
With the of Marcus, the team makes it to the semi-finals of a competition, but just before the final, Marcus gets a job offer to coach an NBA team.
Actors Woody Harrelson, Kaitlin Olson, Ernie Hudson, and Cheech Marin are in the roles of the movie.
The movie is an English-language remake of a Spanish movie and is directed by Bobby Farrelly. The screenplay for the movie is written by Mark Rizzo.
