S:1 E:3 Three-Quarters View of the Head pt.2 Shadow Shapes and Tone We will now add tone through shadow shapes. We will be using the squinting technique (looking with your eyes nearly closed) at our reference and drawing, to find shapes created by light and shade. We will first divide the picture into light and dark, and then we will add the middle or half tones to our drawing, still continuing to squint and draw only simple shapes.
