A historical documentary, The Rocky Mountain Cowboy, The Life & Music of Roy Barnes, presented by Northwest College captures the spirit of Roy Barnes, a cowboy musician and songwriter, whose radio career spanned over 60 years, This film features a live performance by Roy, interviews, home movies, as well as his recorded music. The Rocky Mountain Cowboy gives us a personal look at Roy’s 98 years of life. Roy left a legacy of humorous and happy memories, that have been brought out of storage and onto the screen, while preserving a piece of musical history that is important to the American West. The documentary earned a Three Year Broadcast Agreement with Wyoming PBS and won an award from the Wyoming State Historical Society. Runs 28:56. – “I have run into folks like Roy before….
