Sunil Pal Criticizes Sunil Grover : Comedian Sunil Pal recently voiced his disapproval of Sunil Grover‘s comedy style on ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show,’ labeling it as vulgar and cheap. In an interview , Pal expressed his dissatisfaction with certain segments of the Netflix show, particularly those featuring Grover and others dressed as women and making what he deemed as ‘vulgar jokes.’

Pal highlighted his concerns about the repetitive nature of Grover‘s comedy, stating, “Sunil Grover looks very old now. The same jokes all over again, does not make anyone laugh.” He specifically criticized the segment where male comedians dress up as women, remarking that it made him feel ashamed and lacked energy.

Sunil Pal said ”Sunil Grover looks very old now. The same jokes all over again, does not make anyone laugh. Every time you sit on the lap of an actor, I feel ashamed. Dressing up like a woman and talk in a vulgar fashion. Then at award functions, saying, ‘Today I learnt that one can also eat oranges.’ Sunil Grover should just do his bit and not give advice from now”.

Furthermore, Pal questioned the respect shown towards women in these comedic portrayals, emphasizing his belief that such acts perpetuate cheapness rather than genuine humor. He specifically singled out Grover, along with Krushna Abhishek and Kiku Sharda, for their performances on the show, characterizing them as lacking in both energy and respect.

Sunil Grover, known for his previous roles as Guthhi and Dr. Mashoor Gulati on ‘Comedy Nights with Kapil,’ now portrays the character of Dafli on ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show.’ The show, available for streaming on Netflix, has garnered attention for its comedic content and star-studded cast, but Pal’s comments underscore the diverse opinions surrounding its humor and presentation.
As discussions around comedy and its boundaries continue, Sunil Pal’s critique adds another perspective to the ongoing dialogue about what constitutes acceptable humor and respectful portrayal of gender roles in the entertainment industry.
