The movie is set in the year 1960. There is a rural town in Bastion, Illinois. The residents of thiarea are not allowed to go out of the town. Residents of this town don’t celebrate Halloween night, as it is celebrated everywhere.
Generally, people get dressed up as various characters and do tricks to gain treats on Halloween night. They enjoy this festival. But in this rural town, residents prepare themselves for a war against the real devil.
Every year, on Halloween night, a mysterious devil appears in the rural town. Sawtooth Jack is said to be a real devil who has a vicious personality. He has tremendous power and can destroy the whole town within a few minutes. He challenges the teenage boy in town to take him down. His presence within the town provokes a violent faceoff between him and the teenage boys of the town. If these boys fail in their mission, then Sawtooth will destroy the harvest of the tears and cause destruction in their town.
The boy who successfully takes down Sawtooth Jack gets rewarded with various luxuries. He is rewarded with a luxurious house at the elite location of Bastion. He also gets a new car. He gets the freedom to travel outside of town. He also gets a membership in the town guild.
Richie is the younger brother of Jim. Jim was the last year’s winner of the faceoff. When he gets a new car. He travelled outside the town and never came back. Now Richie wants to win this year so that he can also go out of town and search for his brother. But there are some people who don’t want Richie to take down Sawtooth Jack.
Halloween night arrives in the shadow of Sawtooth Jack. Richie starts his quest to take down the dangerous devil. Soon he realises that he is not only battling against the Sawtooth Jack but also the whole town.
Actors Casey Likes, E’myri Crutchfield, Dustin Ceithamer, Elizabeth Reaser, Jeremy Davies, Megan Best, Jake Brennan, and Britain Dalton are playing key roles in the movie, with various other actors in supporting roles.
Dark Harvest is based on an award-winning novel written by Norman Partridge.
The movie is directed by David Slade. And the production of the movie is done by Matt Tolmach and David Manpearl under the Matt Tolmach Productions banner.
The movie was released on October 13, 2023, on Prime Video. The movie is available for streaming in Hindi, English, Spanish, and Portuguese languages.
