The first-look poster of the film ‘Dear EXes’ was unveiled by director Venkat Prabhu on social media.
(Dear Exes) Nithya Menen’s next, a fantasy relationship drama written and directed by debutante Kamini. The makers shared the film’s first-look poster on social media on Menen’s birthday. Titled Dear Exes, the film’s poster depicts Menen holding a smartphone and a drink, looking startled by a call from an ‘ex’.
Nithya Menen is one of the very few actresses who takes her own sweet time to sign up a film, and that has resulted in a filmography where quality trumps quantity. Hence, all eyes are on her upcoming film Dear Exes, which has her as the protagonist. The first-look poster of the film was unveiled by director Venkat Prabhu on social media.
The poster is as vibrant as a kaleidoscope featuring Nithya Menen dressed up in a saree. She is adorned with jewels and mehendi which hint that she is a bride. On one hand, she is seen holding a cocktail, and on the other, her phone with an incoming call from her ex-boyfriend. It could be that Dear Exes is a comedy-drama about a bride who has to confront her exes before moving on with her life.
Venkat Prabhu shared the poster and wrote, “Very happy to launch the Bask Time Theatres and POPter Media Production No. 1 first look #DearEXes.” However, fans were more keen on Venkat Prabhu’s upcoming venture with Vijay, Greatest of All Time. The comments section of Dear Exes was flooded with fans asking for updates for GOAT.
Directed by debutante Kamini, Dear Exes stars Navdeep, Deepak Parambol, and Vinay Raj in important roles. In an interview with a daily, the director said the film is about the life of a ‘soup girl’. ‘Soup boy’, popularise by Dhanush-Anirudh Ravichander’s Kolver Boy song, is about a boy who is dealing with a break-up.
