Taapsee Pannu Gave 10 Flops In A Row
Despite her talent, Taapsee Pannu has faced a series of box office disappointments. Even her recent films, which involved collaborations with top stars and renowned directors, have struggled to succeed.
Pannu run of underperforming movies started with ‘Thappad‘ in 2020, directed by Anubhav Sinha. Since then, films like ‘Rashmi Rocket‘, ‘Loop Lapeta‘, ‘Shabaash Mithu‘, ‘Dobaara‘, ‘Tadka‘, and ‘Blur‘ have also failed to make an impact with audiences and critics.
Even though Taapsee Pannu’s Netflix film ‘Haseen Dillruba‘ attracted a large audience, it received only average reviews. Her most ambitious project, ‘Dunki‘, starring Shah Rukh Khan and directed by the legendary Rajkumar Hirani, also fell short of the high expectations set by ‘Pathaan’ and ‘Jawan’ at the box office. Now, the sequel to ‘Haseen Dillruba’, titled ‘Phir Aayi Haseen Dillruba‘, has been released on Netflix, but sadly, the reviews for this sequel have been quite poor.
The original ‘Haseen Dillruba‘ received mixed reviews, but it gained success on Netflix partly because there were only a few OTT options available at the time.
