The story of Destined with You revolves around two characters from the series named Lee Hong Jo and Jang Shin Yo.
Lee Hong Jo is a simple girl working as a low-grade civil servant. She is dedicated to her work. She always puts in her best effort to complete it. She is the best employee. But in her personal life she is very lonely. One day, she finds an old wooden chest that is locked. And a key to open the chest.
Jang Shin Yo is a competent lawyer; he is very smart and good-looking, and he catches every spotlight wherever he goes. He is suffering from an unexpected health condition. It is getting worse by each passing day. This condition is running down in his family from past few generations.
